Vélez Faces Injury Woes After Defeat to Huracán

Vélez is not experiencing a good present, as the 2-0 defeat against Huracán in the seventh round of the Apertura Tournament not only left the 'Fortín' without a coach but also resulted in four injured players at the end of the match. Coach Sebastian Domínguez announced on Sunday in the locker room of the José Amalfitani stadium that he would step down from his position.

The first injured player was Matías Pellegrini, who suffered a right psoas strain 10 minutes into the first half. His replacement, Imanol Machuca, also had to leave during halftime due to a bruise with bone edema in his left knee. They were joined by Christian Ordóñez, with a tear in the left hamstring, and Emanuel Mammana, with a bruise on his right thigh and synovitis in the knee.

While waiting for the appointment of a new coach to replace Domínguez, Vélez must deal with the injuries of its starting players and prepare new strategies for the match against San Martín de San Juan. This match will be led by interim coach Marcelo Bravo in the ninth round of the Apertura Tournament, on Friday at 7 PM.

On another note, the team did not make any statements to the press following the defeat against Huracán. This difficult situation is compounded by a new list of injured players, further complicating the club's outlook.
